Formed in 2003, Methodology is the brainchild of Toronto natives Kamil Andre, Mark Pellizzer, Dan Austin, Wes Cheang, and Jamie Messum. Methodology’s individual members joined forces in an effort to bring soul, R&B, and funk back to the forefront, an objective that can be experienced fully on their January 2006 debut release What We Have.
When they’re not making a name for themselves as recording artists, Methodology is busy taking the Canadian stage by storm with over fifty independently produced shows across Canada this past year alone. The 2006 Toronto Independent Music Awards also recently honored Methodology with “Best Live Performance” and “Best R&B Group” nominations. Meanwhile, the Soul Tracks Awards in the USA nominated Methodology for “Group of the Year” where they shared the nomination with funk and soul staples, The Brand New Heavies. Thanks in part to their rigorous touring schedule as well as online distribution, internet and satellite radio, and various music publications, Methodology has amassed a worldwide following.
