Keigwin at the Joyce
Renowned choreographer, Larry Keigwin, returns to the Joyce Theatre June 23rd with his fun-loving modern company, Kegwin + Company.

The company will be performing Keigwin’s newest work, Triptych, which explores various understandings of time from the mundane to the existential to the music on Johnathan Pratt.  Other pieces in the season include along Bolero NYC, Natural Selection, and Love Songs.
Keigwin’s mainstay is the entertainment aspect of his choreography.  At any given show you are bound to be rolling over in your seat with laughter or awed by the physicality of movement.  Some images you might see when at a K+C show might be a man in an orange unitard with fuzzy sleeves, reminiscent of a Sesame Street character, dancing to “Walk it Out”;  a cast of 50 New Yorkers in celebration of life in the city; or a series of duets exploring independent, dependent, and co-dependent relationships.   Each piece is witty and out-of-the box, fusing entertainment with art.
