Movmnt Magazine Launches a Non-Profit With SYTYCD Alumni

With the Spring 2008 still on newsstands featuring Sabra Johnson and Danny Tidwell, movmnt magazine is proud to announce the creation of Keep It Real, a non-for-profit effort in the spirit of the magazine, bringing the art world and pop culture together as a lifestyle as well as informing and educating about the world we live in.

Keep it Real, Danny Tidwell, Sabra Johnson, Neil HaskellLead by movmnt co-founder Danny Tidwell, Keep it Real is a non profit platform designed support organizations across the country and bring awareness to a new generation of readers. movmnt is reuniting many former cast members from Fox TV hit show So You Think You Can Dance for the campaign, including past seasons favorites Nick Lazzarini, Travis Wall, Lacey Schwimmer, Ivan Koumaev, Sabra Johnson, Neil Haskell and Jaime Goodwin among others.Editor in Chief David Benaym states, Keep It Real, is to encourage a sense of civic responsibility within ourselves and in the movmnt audience. It is designed to help community organizations reach their goals, while at the same time it offers a unique opportunity for performers to use their fame and bring awareness to social issues and help raise funds for organizations with missions close to our hearts.

“The first initiative associated with Keep It Real is to donate 100% of the proceeds from movmnt’s subscriptions to Dancers Responding to Aids/Broadway Cares/Equity Fights Aids, which annually collects and holds events in the Dance, Broadway and Theatre communities. movmnt has partnered with DRA – – in the past as a media sponsor of the Fire Island Dance Festival among other events.
