For a moment you think you are watching Girls Gone Wild: Slip and Slide Edition. But the contorted patterns the performers make, gliding through water on the other side of the plastic lowered within inches of your face, are far too artistic to have been dreamt up by Joe Francis. You are at Fuerzabruta, an Off-Broadway show concocted by the same perverse, imaginative team that made De La Guarda a sensation ten years ago.

After years of making a name for himself in the music video world, he hit it big when his collaboration with indie-rocker Feist (on the video for “1,2,3,4”) was picked up for use in an iPod Nano commercial. The video, which didn’t contain a single cut, may have gotten his name out there, but Daughters is no one trick pony.
