In continuation of it’s 18 month long Celebration of it’s 50th anniversary, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater unveiled a world premiere choreographed by Mauro Bigonzetti on December 12th. The 45 minutes of vibrant color, constant energy, and all 31 Ailey dancers was caught on film by Movmnt. Let the photos take you on a ride through the festive journey that is Festa Barocca.

Soloist Hope Boykin is featured along with two pas de deux beautifully danced by Clifton Brown
and Gwynenn Taylor Jones and Glenn Allen Sims and Linda Celeste Sims.

Energized by the emotional commitment of the dancers, Bigonzetti originally planned to use a number of the AAADT dancers
but could not stop before adding all 31 into his new ballet Festa Barocca, which tells the story of a festive party.

Color, light and vibrant fabric spill across the stage, supplemented by the energetic constant movement of the ensemble.
